Prayer for the vacancy

Loving Lord, we thank you for the value you

place on us, causing each one to be an

active part of your body here on earth.

Thank you that you are our head directing

us and building us together through the

bond of the spirit.

Teach us more of what it means to be a body of believers, supporting,

honouring and loving one another, as you love us.

Give us hearts that are soft enough to allow your grace to change

us more into who you would have us be.

We pray especially during this time of vacancy asking that you

guard and unite this Benefice as we serve you.

We know that you have plans for us and that these plans are good.

We ask now, that you will help us to share responsibility,

grow in faith, love one another, care for those in need,

reach out to others and welcome newcomers.

Holy Spirit, please guide us as we seek to grow your

kingdom here in our parishes.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
